Want to gatekeep, but...

Exactly as described and exactly as other users have set out. Lovely little bolthole at the top of the lane on a farm with a view for days. Simple and effective. Worth going back for Paul andJudy alone, fab hosts. We will be back. Cross Farm, a working farm specialising in traditional breeds of cattle and sheep.

Cosy, rustic cottage on the hills

Excellent secluded spot outside and overlooking Cheddar, out in wide open fields within a minute and up to the gorge in about 15. Rustic, cosy little house with all the essentials and a stocked wood burner. Friendly host and dogs! Also had a small milk in the fridged stocked when we arrived which was a nice touch. 2 single beds might not be up all couples' streets, but well worth it otherwise.

Lovely farm stay

We enjoyed staying in Paul and Judy’s shepherd hut. It is small and cozy and had everything we needed. The farm is open and has wonderful walking trails up to the top of the hill and overlooking the gorge. We saw the cows and sheep Doug had a great visit with Paul, learning about the rare cows and sheep they raise. Be sure to get some local eggs and Jam from the farm- we were sad to realize we could have had fresh eggs after we bought some in town! Highly recommend this as a place to stay and enjoy the Cheddar area!

Great place fabulous view and Paul's lamb Cumberland sausages are wonderful.

Nice stay

I had everything you could need (apart from no large oven ). Bathroom had a lovely shower. Nice to sit down with a fire.

A real gem, cosy, comfortable, fab location, lovely hosts

We had a very lovely stay. The Shepherds hut has everything you need for a relaxing stay, location, views, facilities and very welcoming and kind hosts. We really enjoyed the tranquility and the abundance of unspoilt nature and wildlife at the property and beyond. We were warmly greeted on our arrival, parked our vehicle and there it stayed until we had to leave (we didn't want too!) Great local area to explore on foot, with lots of helpful information and tips from Paul who made us feel very welcome including our little four legged rascal. A big thank you and we very much look forward to returning.

Amazing cottage experience

This was such a precious place. Judy and Paul are very kind. Great location, beautiful views, comfy living situation, and amazing dogs that I will miss. Loved the wood stove. Thank you so much for having us, Cheddar was a great experience! Neighbourhood is amazing, walk around it if you can.

Lovely little rustic cottage. Comfy & clean. Beautiful surrounding area. Great location for exploring Cheddar. Friendly & helpful owners. Will definitely return.
